The Carpenters Arms is situated half mile from the historic township of Laugharne with its ancient castle overlooking the Taff eastuary. Famed for the works of Dylan Thomas and the boathouse where he done his great works.

Run as a traditional village pub in a rural setting not far from the coast, Pendine sands just four miles away. We pride ourselves on running a clean & friendly pub to a high standard offering a relaxed atmosphere with no juke box or fruit machines. Although we have have background music playing classic songs.
We have a lounge bar with a couple of sofas, a couple of tub chairs & a few tables and chairs for those with dogs wishing to eat in the bar, on the wood floor only. There is also a log fire for those winter nights.
A large car park on side of pub with its own walnut tree which bears a large amount of fruit in season & a walled beer garden at rear of pub.
The restaurant will seat 50 persons where we specialize in prime welsh steaks , fish dishes & home cooking. Not to be missed is our sunday carvery which is very popular.
With 5 en-suite letting rooms we can offer a complete relaxing package for that special occassion, a couple of nights away or just passing through for the night, a warm welcome is given to all.
We are now in our fourth year and are established as one of the main eating places in the area.
